China-based Hongshi Holding Group Co Ltd is expected to award a contract to FLSmidth for the supply of mills, crushers and feeders for its 8000tpd plant in East Java, Indonesia. Hongshi Holding Group Co Ltd has issued a "Belt and Road" (B&R) construction corporate bond on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE), which was also the first B&R construction corporate bond publicly offered by an enterprise from Laos. Hongshi-Shivam Cement’s plans to build a 2Mta cement plant in Nawalparasi in southern Nepal have run into problems over the amount of land needed for the project, Xinhua reports. Joint-venture agreement signed for new Nepalese plant

China’s Hongshi Holdings Group on Tuesday signed a joint-venture (JV) agreement with Shivam Holdings Nepal to set up a NPR30bn (US$297m) cement factory. Hongshi Holdings will invest NPR21bn (70 per cent) in the project while the Nepali partner will inject NPR9bn. The JV will be named Hongshi-Shivam Cement Private Limited.
